Material Notes: In tough operating conditions and under direct sunlight, standard Ulpolen® 1000 shows signs of wear and abrasion within a period shorter than a year. It accumulates static electric during daily use. Anti static and UV stabilized Ulpolen® 1000 should be preferred in silo and truck bed linings. When static electric accumulation is not a problem, UV stabilized type is sufficient. By definition, standard Ulpolen® 1000 can't be the the universal solution material in machine design. It is possible to improve its technical properties through additives. It is inevitable that additives increase cost, but when life time of material is considered, advantages of selecting the right material become evident.
