Master Bond EP30DP Abrasion Resistant Cryogenic Epoxy Urethane System
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive; Epoxy Encapsulant, Unreinforced

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Low viscosity
  • Toughened system
  • Low exotherm
  • Long working life
  • Cryogenically serviceable
  • Ideal for potting and encapsulation
Product Description: Master Bond EP30DP is a versatile, two component, urethane-modified epoxy system featuring superior toughness, strength and abrasion resistance for high performance bonding, sealing, coating and encapsulation. It blends the performance characteristics of epoxy resins such as strength, chemical resistance and adhesive qualities, with those of the polyurethanes including toughness and abrasion resistance. This system features a 100:10 mix ratio by weight and it can be used at cryogenic temperatures as it has a service temperature range of 4K to +250°F. It is a lower exothermic system with an exceptionally long working life that can be cured in sections up to a few inches thick. EP30DP is formulated to cure at ambient temperatures or more rapidly at elevated temperatures. This low viscosity system is 100% reactive and does not contain any solvents or diluents. EP30DP exhibits very low shrinkage upon curing and excels in withstanding rigorous thermal cycling along with mechanical and thermal shocks. It offers superb resistance to chemicals including water, acids, bases, fuels and oils. This system adheres well to metals, glass, ceramics and many types of rubbers and plastics. It has superior electrical insulation properties. Color of Part A is clear amber, Part B clear yellow. Of particular interest, EP30DP can be more readily removed than conventional epoxies. EP30DP is widely employed in electronics, electrical, aerospace, OEM and related industries.

Product Advantages:

  • Lower viscosity, low exotherm and very long working life—ideal for larger encapsulations
  • High physical strength properties; superior toughness and resistance to thermal cycling
  • Excellent electrical insulation properties
  • Cryogenically serviceable
  • Superb abrasion resistance
  • Repairable — can be removed more readily with a razor blade or similar type tool
