Dow Surlyn® 8150 Ionomer Resin, Sodium
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Ionomer; Ionomer, Molded

Material Notes: Surlyn® 8150 thermoplastic resin is an advanced ethylene/methacrylic acid (E/MAA) copolymer, in which the MAA acid groups have been partially neutralized with sodium ions. The high MAA content and mid-range neutralization level for this grade creates an exceptional combination of strengths: toughness, low-temperature toughness, abrasion resistance, tear resistance, excellent clarity, and high stiffness compared with other grades of Surlyn®. The resin is highly suitable for injection molding, providing enhanced processability over other grades.

Data provided by the manufacturer.

This former DuPont product line is now a Dow product line.
