(epoxy resin/laminated glass fabric) This grade is ideal in applications where high temperature resistance and mechanical strength are required. The temperature limit as per DIN 7735 is +155 °C, which means that this grade meets the requirements of Heat Insulation Class F. Even at +150°C, the drop in flexural strength is less than 50 %. The reason for the high level of heat resistance is the special combination of resins that makes this type of glass fabric somewhat harder than Hgw 2372 and Hgw 2372.1 while still good to machine. We offer the same grade in Heat Insulation Class H, too. This top grade reaches a temperature limit of +180 °C and meets the requirements of Heat Insulation Class H. It achieves a glass transition temperature (Tg) of +200 °C. Information provided by Angst + Pfister |
