Material Notes: A soft, black, specialty thermoplastic vulcanizate (TPV) in the thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) family. It complies with NSF 61 for plumbing applications in contact with potable water and has physical properties that meet ASTM F 477 for high head pipe seal applications. This grade of Santoprene TPV is shear-dependent and can be processed on conventional thermoplastics equipment for injection molding or extrusion. It is polyolefin based and completely recyclable.

  • Excellent resistance to compression set.
  • Recommended for applications requiring excellent flex fatigue resistance.
  • Recommended for applications requiring excellent ozone resistance.
  • Complies with NSF Standard 61: Piping System Components for Drinking Water.
  • Designed for application in ASTM F 477 high head pipe seals.
