Rulon Bearings

Polikim KESTLUB® Polyamide 6 + Lubricant
Categories: Polymer; Thermoplastic; Nylon (Polyamide PA); Nylon 6 (PA6)

Material Notes: Kestlub® is a special type of cast polyamide ideal for bearings. It is produced by adding lubricants to cast polyamide through special processes. It performs extremely well in bearing applications as it is self-lubricated. Lubricants are homogenously dispersed making them inseperable out of the material. Lubricant additivess do not leak out even in toughest operating conditions. Machining does not alter this qualilty. Lubrication keeps the coefficient of friction very low during operation and thus prevents heating up, extending component operation life. Kestlub® should be used in applications where dimensional stability and weatherability of Kestamid® are questionable. As lubricant additives fill up pores, humidity and water absorption are reduced; sustaining dimensional stability. In high pressures and bearing applications, solid lubricant does not leak out.
