Sandvik MP 40 Cemented Carbide Grade for Rotary Tools  (discontinued **)
Categories: Ceramic; Carbide; Metal; Metal Matrix Composite; Nonferrous Metal; Tungsten Alloy

Material Notes: SANDVIK MP40 carbide grade is a well established, high performance cemented carbide, designed to meet the ISO P40 range of metal cutting applications.

This grade is manufactured to the most exacting specifications demanded by Sandvik through its commitment to the production and supply of the high quality tool materials required by the rotary tooling in dustry.

SANDVIK grade MP40 incorporates 11% cobalt (Co) and 77% tungsten carbide (WC), 12% cubic carbide (Ti, Ta/Nb, C).

This grade offers an excellent combination of strength and toughness. In addition, a special additive maximizes corrosion resistance without loss of toughness.

SANDVIK grade MP40 is recommended for rotary tool applications in the ISO P40 range. It has a high resistance to mechanical and thermal wear and exhibits an excellent performance when machining a wide range of materials.
