| Baytec 505 is a diethyltoluenediamine (DETDA), an aromatic diamine. Properties / Applications: Baytec 505 ’s primary application is a chain extender for use in RIM-processed polyurethanes. It is typically blended with other B-side components by the customer. Baytec 505 chain extender offers easier mold release, faster cycle times, and better heat distortion resistance than is available with traditional glycol-based chain extenders. As with any product, use of Baytec 505 in a given application must be tested (including but not limited to field testing) in advance by the user to determine suitability.
