Master Bond EP38FLAO Two Component Epoxy
Categories: Polymer; Adhesive; Thermoset; Epoxy; Epoxy Adhesive; Epoxy Encapsulant, Unreinforced; Epoxy, Thermally Conductive

Material Notes: Key Features:
  • Thermally conductive
  • Electrically insulative
  • High flexibility
  • Very long open time
  • Cures at room or elevated temperatures
  • Excellent flowability
Product Description: Master Bond EP38FLAO is a versatile two component thermally conductive, electrically insulating epoxy. This epoxy can be used for high performance bonding, sealing, coating, potting and encapsulation. This system features a convenient and forgiving one to one mix ratio by weight or volume. It has an exceptionally long working life as well. This in and of itself is highly attractive, but add to this that it is a lower exotherm system with splendid flow, which enables it to be used in all kinds of potting and encapsulation applications, particularly those that are larger in size. Also noteworthy are its outstanding thermal conductivity, superior electrical insulation properties along with a substantial degree of flexibility. Its top notch flexibility allows it to withstand rigorous thermal cycling as well as mechanical and thermal shocks. EP38FLAO bonds well to a wide variety of substrates such as metals, glass, ceramics, composites, many rubbers and plastics, and is an excellent adhesive. It has reasonably good chemical resistance to water, oils and many fuels. It has a wide service temperature range of -100°F to 250°F. Parts A and B are off white in color. This multifaceted system is widely used in the electronic, electrical, computer, aerospace, opto-electronic and specialty OEM applications where electrical insulation and heat transfer are required and excellent flow properties are desirable. EP38FLAO is particularly special because it possesses a high level of flexibility and thermal conductivity while it retains the desirable physical characteristics inherent in epoxies.

Product Advantages:

  • Convenient mixing: easy to use, non-critical one to one mix ratio by weight or volume
  • High thermal conductivity with striking electrical insulation properties
  • Superior bond strength to a wide variety of substrates
  • Low exotherm and a long working life
  • Excellent flowability well suited for all kinds of potting and encapsulations
  • Capable of withstanding rigorous thermal cycling and shocks
